TX Senate Bill 1780
Senate Bill 1780, signed into law May 27, 2023, effective January 1, 2024, adds a new authorization for Online Notaries to perform online notarizations on tangible documents and specifies requirements for these online notarial acts.
Amends Sections 406.101, 406.108, 406.109, 406.110 of and adds Sections 406.1106 and 406.1107 to the Government Code.

TX House Bill 4504
House Bill 4504, signed into law June 12, 2023, becomes effective January 1, 2025, makes a non-substantive statute reference change to the Government Code related to a Notary's exemption from the requirement to record certain oaths in their journals.
Changes the reference in Government Code 406.014(d) related to the exemption of recording certain oaths in the Notary’s journal from Article 45.019 to 45A.101 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
